ADMISSION POLICY

  • A candidate seeking admission in any of the program available in Northwest College of Nursing shall apply on a prescribed form appended to the prospectus.
  • Candidate shall submit the application form before the deadline along with the attested photocopies of all the required necessary documents mentioned in application form.
  • If any documents / information provided by the candidate is found false/fake of fabricated at any stage of the course admission will be cancelled. Incomplete application forms will be rejected.
  • Both male and female eligible candidates can apply in Nursing Program available in College.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR POST RN BSC.N (2 YEARS) PROGRAM:

Candidate applying for the Post RN BSc.N (2 years) program shall fulfill the following criteria.

  • Diploma in General Nursing at least 2nd Division.
  • Pakistan Nursing Council registration.
  • Diploma in nursing for female applicants (at least 2nd Division).
  • Diploma in any speciality for male applicants.
  • Applicants must have two years of clinical experience after General Nursing Diploma.
  • Age limit is below 35 years.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR BSc Nursing (4 YEARS) PROGRAM:

Candidates applying for BSc. Nursing (4 years) program shall meet the following criteria

  • Higher Secondary School certificate in Science subjects with at least 60 % marks. Or any equivalent qualification.
  • Age limit 18 to 25 years.

Merit will be calculated based on the following key:

  • Percentage of metric marks
  • Percentage of FSc.
  • Percentage Marks in entry Test
  • Interview Marks.

ADMISSION COMMITTEE:

The Admission Committee consists of the following Committee.

  • Chairman AHL
  • Chairman of NWCN
  • Principal College of Nursing
  • Assistant professors
  • Lecturers NWCN

The principal of the Northwest College of Nursing will display the merit list of selected candidates for each program. Objection if any can be submitted to the Committee in written who will be completed to rectify any error or omission three days before the date of admission. The final Merit list will be displayed one day before interview.

EXAMINATION COMMITTEE:

Northwest college of nursing has its own internal examination committee which is working independently to organize and schedule exam ensuring transparency and confidentiality. Examination committee is also responsible to maintain annual record of exams for at least three years onward. Examination Committee members are:

  • Chairman NWCN
  • Principal Northwest College of Nursing
  • Assistant professor NWCN
  • Lecturers NWCN.
  • Course Coordinator Post RN BSc.N program.
